Members of RIPS have been invited to conduct investigations at an abandoned hospital (The Lady) located in central Oklahoma operated by OKC-PRG in the past. Also in attendance during one particular investigation in November, 2006, was a group from COPS and Ron of PROS. As we all took the oath not to disclose the official location of the building, it was noted by Ron of OKC-PRG that our large group may hinder activity. The temperature outside was a very chilly 30 degrees F and inside the hospital was not any warmer due to missing windows on some floors. This was noted to maybe explain any knocking noises or noises on recorders. There is also a resident raccoon, Rocky, who at this time was still living in the hospital.
Information about this hospital can be found here. It is an on-going study facility in paranormal activity and many rooms have been set up with cameras and tests, the most noted being the Harry Price room, Cam 3 for those who visit the website.
After a tour of the building's floors, we arranged for a sit-down in the basement. Those present noticed some activity on the west end of the hall, also called the ER side. Light knocking sounds were noticed, but could have been caused by the cold temperatures and the wood elements of the building reacting to it. A couple members noticed a red orb at the same end of the hall, but none of our equipment caught anything. EVPs were also negative.
However, at the OKC-PRG website, CAPs of a slender figure in a black dress was caught by some of the people online. It was thought to be a member of one team, but the lady in question is shorter and heavier than the figure in the pictures. And due to the temperature, none of those present were wearing a dress. Also, CAPs are shown with a little boy standing among those at the "sit down" wearing what appears to be overalls. There is a little boy at The Lady who has been captured before whose name is known to be Joshua.
At a previous investigations, some members of our Team were spooked by audible sounds of babies crying around the maternity ward, a door which opened and slammed shut numerous times on its own and other unverifible activity. We would like to thank Ron and Becky with OKC-PRG for allowing us to visit the hospital and hope to continue our investigations in the near future.
