The Hager House Bed & Breakfast, until its' closing at the end of 2009, was one of El Reno's most beautiful homes. It was also one of El Reno's most haunted residences! We had the opportunity to conduct 4 investigations of this stately manor over a 2 year period. During our visits, we met a host of "personalities" in the home, which in years gone by, had been an office to several different physicians and a Bed and Breakfast on 2 occasions.

The building has 2 stories and an attic above ground and a basement below. In the attic was a room that was used as the childrens play room. Our investigator met 3 young children there - 2 girls, Charlotte & Lucy,  and a boy named Andrew. The girls had stated the year was 1916. While riding his rocking horse, Andrew was tormented by the girls, to the point of his riding off the edge of the stairway and falling to his death. The boys father, a man dressed in a doctor's white robe, picked the boy up and carried him away. The tragic death was witnessed by the investigator on each return trip to the home.

Also in the attic on one visit, our investigator, sitting in an overstuffed chair, felt 2 feet pushing her out of the chair. Realizing it was a child, she found herself pushed onto the floor. The boy, rather smelly and dressed like a street urchin, led her to the garden behind the house, where he showed her a dog's skull buried in the dirt.

On the second floor, all investigators got a bad, uneasy feeling in the white bedroom. Investigators got the presence of a young girl, who abruptly left when the presence of a man was felt. In the red room, Team members called this room the "Sick Room" with paralyzing air and a feeling of death. In the blue room was a woman who appeared to be a maid for the family, surrounded by sewing apparatus and materials. She was stuck in the WWII era. Her mental state was not well and she spoke of her 3 sons that went off to war.

On the main floor, the smell of cherry pipe tobacco could be detected by all team members. One investigator saw and spoke with a man in the office area. Seated at his desk, the man was dressed as a doctor. When the investigator spoke towards the man, he didn't turn, but simply waved his hand towards her, as if to shoo her away. She saw a locked journal on the desk with the initials "AT_". There was a Dr. Arthur T. March that owned the building/office from 1926-1934.  Several investigators also sensed the smell of Band Aids.

In the kitchen, the woman of the house was found kneading bread dough. She was looking out the kitchen window, watching the children play. When our investigator asked her questions, she appeared annoyed by the questions and told her to go outside and play with the other children.

In the basement, investigators saw the image of a woman on an operating table, bleeding profusely, with a doctor standing at the end of the table doing nothing but watch. The Team later surmised that this was either an abortion gone bad or a miscarriage. This story was corroborated by a 2nd investigator who picked up the same feelings at the same time while in a different part of the home.

After the Bed & Breakfast closed, we got one more chance to go inside to help cross over the sad spirits that remained behind. We successfully crossed over Andrew and his dog. An attempt was made to cross over the woman in the sewing room but she was somewhat mentally scattered and we couldn't say for sure if she made it across. One of the doctors that we met in the home, Dr. Mogab, was not a very nice man and raised quite a ruckus during this last visit. He remained in the building after our departure.

Multiple EVP's were collected at Hager House. We all have a special attachment to this historic building.
