Have you had incidents at your home that you cannot explain?  Do things move, fly or drop from nowhere or for no reason?  Are you being physically assulted by something you cannot see?  RIP Studies is always looking for new locations and activities to investigate.  Our investigations are free of charge and are performed on a science-based parapsychology platform.  We look for a scientific reason behind activity; however, sometimes activity cannot be explained by science.  Equipment we use helps us determine if there is a reason which can be explained by physics, and if not we look for further evidence.  Your information will ALWAYS be kept confidential in reports and on our website!

There are several things to keep in mind if you are considering us for an investigation.  First, investigations cannot be completed in one visit.  On our first visit to a location, two members will be performing a priliminary investgation to document the area and any activity without major disturbances. This is called a "PRELIM" (paranormal research elimination) study.  Once findings have been examined from the PRELIM, the Team will determine if there is reasonable evidence to conduct further investigations.  Up to three more investigations may be needed afterwards to develop enough evidence to present to the client.

Please remember the amount of evidence we collect takes time to analyze; therefore, it can take up to three or four days to prepare a written report of our findings after each investigation.  At that time, we will let you know if we would like to take further action and perform further investigations of the site.

Secondly, we use EMF (electromagnetic field) detectors to determine activity in rooms.  Detectors can receive signals from all electronic devices (televisions, light sources, etc.); therefore, all electric swtiches need to be turned off to reduce the possiblity of "false positive" results.  This requires us to perform much of our investigation in the dark.  Total darkness can be unnerving for some people, so please be aware of what you may experience in this situation.

Finally, paranormal activity (especially with cameras and video cameras) is easier to pick up in darkness.  Therefore, most of our investigations will be performed at night.  Full investigations can take up to three or four hours to complete.  Please be aware that this could mean we are investigating until after midnight in certain situations.  In the winter months we can start earlier and finish earlier but it still will  be quite late most of the time.
